MJC Law is immensely proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in five award categories at this year’s Yorkshire Legal Awards.
This includes two nominations for the firm – Law Firm of the Year (Small) and Niche Law Firm of the Year.
Three of our colleagues at the Leeds office have also been shortlisted for individual awards:
Ashley Bradley, Senior Associate Chartered Legal Executive, has been shortlisted in the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year category. When asked for comment, Ashley’s supervisor, Kate Jackson, Solicitor and Director, said:
“I am incredibly proud of Ashley for being nominated for Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year. She is an outstanding lawyer and a genuine leader in Court of Protection practice, whose contribution extends far beyond MJC Law through her work with clients, colleagues, and the wider profession. This is hugely deserved recognition of everything Ashley has achieved and the difference she continues to make across Yorkshire.”
Leah Winstanley has been shortlisted in the Rising Star of the Year category. Leah’s supervisor, Lauren Castle, Solicitor and Director, said the following in respect of the nomination:
“Leah’s nomination is entirely deserved. She is an extremely talented lawyer who works incredibly hard for her clients and genuinely wants to make a difference. Leah has developed into a fantastic solicitor and is a real asset to the team. I’m really pleased to see her hard work and dedication being recognised.”
Last, but certainly not least, Gregory Turpin has been shortlisted in the Trainee Solicitor of the Year category. Kate Jackson had the following to say:
“I am incredibly proud of Greg for being shortlisted for Trainee Solicitor of the Year. Having supervised Greg throughout his training, I have had the pleasure of seeing first-hand how much he has developed, both as a lawyer and as an individual. He has become a highly capable, compassionate, and dependable practitioner who has a real commitment to his clients. As Greg now approaches qualification, it is particularly special to see his hard work and achievements recognised in this way, and I am very excited to see what the next stage of his career brings.”
MJC Law is immensely proud to receive this wider recognition, which reflects years of consistent commitment to our clients and the wider profession, both individually and as a firm.
The Yorkshire Legal Awards will take place on 8 October 2026 at New Dock Hall, Leeds.
A huge congratulations to everyone who made these nominations possible and, of course, to Ashley, Leah and Greg on their individual shortlisting.
Best of luck to everyone!
