Expertise

Rebecca studied Psychology at the University of Derby where she graduated with a 2:1. After completing her degree Rebecca volunteered at a charity helping and advising refugees and asylum seekers in Nottingham where she developed a keen interest in helping vulnerable people and a career in Law.

Rebecca went on to study the Law conversion course and the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University. Following her post graduate education, Rebecca worked as a paralegal in Child Care Law until securing a training contract at a regional firm.

Rebecca undertook her legal training in private and public Family Law and Court of Protection from 2019 to 2021. Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in September 2021, initially in Court of Protection dealing with health and welfare matters until returning to Child Care law where she represented parents going through child protection procedures in the PLO process and in court proceedings. Rebecca represented parents in situations where social services had concerns about a child’s / children’s welfare due to issues of neglect, domestic abuse, physical abuse, non-accidental injury, sexual abuse and emotional abuse.

Rebecca moved back to Court of Protection in August 2025 where she hopes to build a practice representing vulnerable adults in the community.
