MJC Law are thrilled to announce the addition of two paralegals to the MJC team. Amna Shahnaz, is based at the Leeds Office and Megan Holland, is based at the Nottingham Office.
Amna studied Law at the University of Leeds, graduating with a first-class honours degree in 2022. Amna’s interest in mental health law and working with vulnerable people was developed through her volunteering, where she worked with dementia patients at Calderdale Royal Hospital. This was enhanced through her chosen elective of access to justice and legal services.
Megan studied Law at Leeds Beckett University, where she graduated in 2022 with a first-class honours degree. Megan then went onto study her Masters at the University of Law. In July 2023, she sat the SQE1 exam and will sit the SQE 2 exam in 2024. Throughout her studies, Megan volunteered at the University Law Clinic. During this role, she provided advice on a variety of legal matters to members of the public. This developed her passion for working with vulnerable clients, alongside a position at Nottingham’s Citizens Advice Bureau.
Both Amna and Megan are keen to develop their passion for working with vulnerable people and are keen to develop their knowledge in Court of Protection law.
Lauren Crow, Solicitor and Director, says “We are delighted to welcome Amna and Megan to the team. They are great additions to both offices and we are all excited for the bright futures they have ahead!”
The addition of Amna and Megan will aid MJC Law’s continued commitment to conducting publicly funded work at a top level and achieving results that will benefit their clients.
