MJC’s Jade Bradley reaches the final of the President’s Cup competition

MJC Law are delighted that Jade Bradley, paralegal, reached the final of the Nottinghamshire Law Society President’s Cup.

The President’s Cup is one of the yearly competitions, organised by the Nottinghamshire Law Society, which allows junior lawyers in Nottingham to take part in. This competition focuses on negotiating skills, with participants being given a scenario and initially providing a negotiation plan. Jade’s plan impressed the judges, and she was chosen as one of the top two to take part in the final!

Jade was up against tough competition. The judges had a set of criteria on which to assess the negotiators – including clarity of expression, appearance and demeanour, response to questioning and degree of persuasiveness. The judges’ commented that the styles of the two finalists were completely different, making it a tough decision for them, who spent their time deliberating. Jade was eventually declared the runner up with one of the judges describing Jade as being ‘a steel fist in a fluffy glove!’

Jade did a fantastic job and has done herself and everyone at MJC Law proud!
