Rebecca specialises in Mental Health Law and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Rebecca studied History and Law at Bradford University and following this began a career in law working at a high street law firm initially in the family department and finally specialising in Mental Health Law. Rebecca has been an accredited member of the Law Society mental health panel since 2008. Rebecca represents both civil and forensic patients before the mental health tribunal as well as attending CPA’s, Hospital managers hearings and section 117 meetings.
Rebecca also regularly speaks with the Andrew Simms Centre on Mental Health Law updates for Section 12 doctors and approved clinicians from across the country.
