Katie studied law with a sandwich year at Nottingham Trent University where she obtained a first-class law degree in 2019. During her sandwich year Katie worked as a Legal Intern in a national law firm, primarily assisting in the immigration and mental health law departments.
Katie continued her studies with Nottingham Trent University on a part-time basis and graduated with a master’s degree in law and Legal Practice Course in 2022.
Alongside studying for her master’s degree Katie worked at a national law firm in their mental health law department assisting fee earners, providing administrative support and monitoring the mental health new enquiries phone line. It was Katie’s experience in mental health law where she developed her passion for working with vulnerable clients and is keen to develop her experience in Court of Protection law.
Katie joined MJC Law in July 2021 as a paralegal and started her training contract on 1 September 2023. Katie primarily assists Rosie Banks in the Nottingham Office with Court of Protection and Community Care cases.
