John is an experienced general manager with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has particular expertise and knowledge in the legal sector implementing change and achieving delivery performance. John has gained extensive experience of senior management and board roles during his career. He joined the Legal Services Commission as an Account Manager in 1993, following a successful career as a senior manager in the Civil Service and Chief Executive of a major regional charity. Later he worked as a senior manager in the LSC Head Office before joining a leading regional primary legal aid law practice, where he became one of the first non-lawyer partners in the country in 2009. He has wide experience of compliance with the Legal Aid Agency audits, Solicitor Regulation Authority and Specialist Quality Mark audits.
John wanted to be involved with the establishment of MJC Law from its inception as it provided the opportunity to manage the set up and operational of a successful new law firm using his extensive experience of applying for and managing legal aid contracts and managing law firms. He very much appreciates working with three highly experienced and able lawyers in their specialist fields.
When not working with MJC Law he is an occasional consultant to other law firms, the Vice-Chair of a major Housing Charity in Derby and may be seen racing a Morgan car with his wife Jackie.
